Goldfield Hotel – Trespassers Will Be Prosecuted
Due to a rise in break-ins and vandalism at the Goldfield Hotel, the building has been sealed.
While the interior of the hotel may look intact, it is not safe by any means. Trespassing on the property is not only illegal, but highly dangerous.
Do not attempt to enter the building for any reason. Local police have stepped up patrols and are on the lookout for people trespassing on the property. Violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
In addition to the crackdown on trespassers and vandals, there is an active online search for anyone posting pictures or video of the hotel without permission. If you do not have permission to post video, audio or photos of the hotel or the owners and caretakers, then don’t. If it is determined the posts contain evidence of trespassing or vandalism, the possibility of legal action is great. Do not risk posting a crime. You are urged to take down your post before legal action is taken against you.
Sadly, due to the rise in trespassing occurrences, guided tours of the hotel have ceased. If the vandalism and trespassing stop, tours may be given in the future . Tours have always been given on a case-by-case basis, and if they are to be given in the future, they will be limited to small groups.
Please help preserve the integrity of this hotel.
Do not trespass in the Goldfield Hotel.
